Paul lays out three responsibilities the church has for pastors:

I. PROPER HONOR – vv. 17-18

II. PROPER ACCOUNTABILITY – vv. 19-21

1- Be Cautious- v. 19

Deut. 19:15

2- Be Clear- v. 20

3- Be Courageous- v. 21

III. PROPER SELECTION – vv. 22-25

1- Careful Selection- vv. 22-23

2- Discerning Selection- vv. 24-25

Conclusion- When it comes to pastors, the church should truly handle them with care
